This was our first attempt at a ‘Trash the Dress’ session. 3 days and 500 photos later resulted in the following slideshow. Photos courtesy of Chris Parker and Artwork by Tammy Parker (a.k.a. spouse – for those that do not know).
So, you have never heard of a Trash the Dress session? Well in short, after your wedding (in most cases – 6 years in Tammy’s case), you roll around in your wedding dress in the grass, dirt, mud, water, beach, hang out in trees, etc.., etc.. Now i shall turn the keyboard over to my wife and have her put it in her own words …..
Technically in my case, i didn’t trash my dress
I had as they call it a relaxed photo session. It merely got wet and dirty for those of you kinda apprehensive about such a photo shoot. In order to see the full effect of what is being offered out there go to the site www.trashthedress.com and you will be amazed at what some brides and photographers are doing! I personally had a blast … but there are people out there who totally disagree with such a concept. But everyone is entitled to their opinion right? To sum it up, i had fun with the shoot, had even more fun tweaking the pix and can’t wait to find another location to experiment with. Who knew i could look like that?! LOL And oh yah, my hubby really needs to find some more trashers, cause i am really getting tired of staring at myself!!!! LOL
I have a couple Kudos to send out before i sign off. My girlfriend Carrie is the one who turned me onto the Trash the Dress site and she assisted and took a couple of pix that you will be viewing … so THANKS Carrie! And my hairdresser, from Vivacious Salon here in Leamington …. Stephanie … she always make me look good! And of course my hubby … for putting up with me and going along with my quirky ideas
Hope ya’ll enjoy! Tammy the photographers wife![]()
