Jewish Wedding at the Westin Book Cadillac – Detroit, MI

Alden and Beth had a traditional Jewish wedding at the Westin Book Cadillac – in downtown Detroit, MI. I was referred, to Alden and Beth, by Samantha Cover of a Thousand Words Photography (she was already booked for their date). Samantha had covered Carley’s (Beths sister) wedding a few years ago. I’m glad I had the opportunity to work with them and their families.

Beths wedding gown was stunning!!!  Designed by Lazaro – Lazaro blends ultra-glamorous vintage details, stunning floral embellishments and signature hand-beading and embroidery.

Carley’s husband drove Alden, Beth and I around Detroit and Belle Isle for some exquisite photos. The reception, at Westin Book Cadillac, was amazing! Emerald City Designs work was breathtaking as usual. Here are a few of my favorites from their day…

Wedding dress by Lazaro!  Stunning details!
Hangin’ Out.
Florals provided by Emerald City Design
Sisters!

Alden has the Hollywood bug.  He definitely has the look!

My favorite getting ready shot of all time.  Love this mirror!  Grooms suite at the Westin Book Cadillac.

WOW!  Hollywood inspired lighting.  This was shot outside Beth’s Bridal Suite (in the hallway).  The lighting accentuates the details of the dress and provides a glamorous, artistic feel.

The architecture in the Italian Room, at the Westin Book Cadillac, is fabulous!

My favorite photo of them together.

Such a gentleman.
More Hollywood inspired glamour.  (fun fact – I was born in Hollywood, California in 19?? – take a guess what year)
THE LOOK!
The Jewish ceremony begins with the signing of the Ketubah – the Jewish marriage contract which sets out the legal terms of the marriage. The origins of the Ketubah go back to the days of the Sanhedrin – the Jewish Supreme Court – in Jerusalem a few thousand years ago – in order to protect the bride by the terms of her dowry.

Fun facts about Beth.  Reported by her Sister Carley.
Another Hollywood inspired work of art….

OUCH!  That looks like it hurts.

Go Alden! Go! Go Alden! Go!  Smooth as silk on his feet.

Great job, Chris! This is one of my favorite families of all time and you captured them perfectly. Beth, you made a gorgeous bride (seriously, beautiful!)….Carly, you are one hot mama to be! ;-) I love the glamourous posed shots, but my favorite is of them looking at eachother during the first dance….great emotion! Congrats!

These are spectacular! This absolutely MUST become a sample book. I would love to note my favorite but, um, sorry, I can’t do that. They all rank as faves.
